National Assembly President Extends Birthday Greetings to Bun Rany Hun Sen

PHNOM PENH: National Assembly President Heng Samrin extends his birthday greetings to the wife of the Prime Minister, Bun Rany Hun Sen. He has wished Bun Rany Hun Sen to have a longer life so she can continue doing more good deeds for the Cambodian people.

He says, “On the occasion of celebrating the 67th and 68th birthdays, which will on 15 December 2021, my wife and I would like to extend our congratulations and blessings to Bun Rany Hun Sen. May you have good health, wisdom and a long life to continue to lead the Cambodian Red Cross to success in the future.

He has added, “My wife and I would like to sincerely commend Samdech Kittipritthbandit for her active and wise efforts to fulfill her noble mission for the cause of humanitarian work, as one of the most outstanding and virtuous women leaders in the region and on the international stage, which has made the humanitarian mission and leadership of the Cambodian Red Cross achieve great success, continuously serve the interests of the nation, the motherland and the people in all circumstances.”

Bun Rany Hun Sen was born on 15 December 1954. She is a daughter of a farmer from Roka Khnor commune, Krouch Chhmar district in Kampong Cham province which is now part of Tbong Khmum province. She and Prime Minister Hun Sen got married on 5 January 1976 during the Democratic Kampuchea regime. She became the president of the Cambodian Red Cross on 30 April 1998 until the present.
